The Messners come for a visit this week.
Even though the weather wasn't the best, the kids had a fun time playing together...

Guy at the Park

Guy: "When are you due?"

Me: "August 1st."

Guy: "Congrats. My wife and I are trying with In Vitro."

Me (after awkward pause): "Well, good luck."

Was I supposed to recipitate with our "conception story" or perhaps some advice?

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, Tony made me beignets for breakfast, hamburgers & fries for lunch & creme brulee for dessert.

Planting the Garden

It was very nice outside today, so Daddy & Zoe planted our vegetable garden...

Happy Birthday Tony!

Grandma & Poppa Bailey helped us celebrate Daddy's birthday...

Lady in Lobby of Hotel

Lady: "When are you due?"

Me: "August 1st."

Lady, looking very pointedly at my belly: "Just one?"

Me:"Yes, just one."

I am not sure what it is about being pregnant that invites comments such as these... I mean if I were just fat, she would never call me fat, so why can she when I am pregnant?

With this ring...

This weekend we helped Amanda & Jason celebrate their wedding...

Go Mommy!

This evening, Zoe went for a walk with Miss Susan, so Tony & I decided to play Gin. Upon returning home, Zoe asked who was winning. I told her that Daddy was.

Zoe replied: "Keep trying, Mommy! Be strong! Never give up!"

OSU Spring Game

Well, we traded a little rain for free parking & free tickets to the game, but the girls all had a great time...

Quote of the Day

Zoe: "Can I paint on my princess thing?"

Mommy: "What princess thing?" (Only about 99.9% of her "things" are princess things...)

Zoe: "The princess thing that you paint on!" (Did you hear it? The silent DumbA**?)

Answer: "Wow, those look huge!"

Question: What should you not say about the bottom of the maternity swimsuit that your wife is showing you?

"It's raining...

...it's boring..."

These were Zoe's words as she played with her umbrella inside today. Do you think she is trying to tell me something?

Hair Out to There

Birthday Supper

Red Robin is Zoe's favorite restraurant. When asked why is it her favorite, her reply is because they have chocolate milk and mac & cheese. Apparently, good chocolate milk and mac & cheese are hard to find...

Birthday Nap?

Apparently, Zoe's birthday was a little too exciting for her. She fell asleep in the car on the way to Red Robin for supper.

Birthday Lunch at McDonalds

"I love playing dolls!"

...is what Zoe said as the 13th doll went down the slide...

Happy Birthday Zoe (again)!

Today is Zoe's actual birthday and she woke up to a brand new slide in the living room. She has gone down it about 100 times already. She opened a couple of small presents and had donuts that her Daddy got for her...

Easter Lunch

Easter Morning

Easter morning, the Easter Bunny came to our house to give the girls their Easter baskets...

The girls were actually more excited to get their baskets than to see the bunny, but the parents all thought it was pretty neat.

Happy Birthday Shannon & Zoe!

Following the Easter Egg Hunt, we sang happy birthday to Shannon & Zoe & then they opened their gifts...

Easter Egg Hunt

Just because, we needed a little more excitement, following dinner we had an Easter Egg hunt. Needless to say, it was a loud & crazy few minutes while everyone was searching for eggs.

The Easter Bunny...

After bowling we stopped to see the Easter Bunny. The girls colored pictures, made an Easter Bunny craft, played games & enjoyed cotton candy & popcorn.

Easter Bowling

Family fun bowling...

Zoe bowling for the 1st time ever....

Bowling was just an afterthought for the girls who just enjoyed playing together. On the way home, Zoe shared with us how exciting it was to play with the gum under the tables...lovely!

THE SCORES

Preschool Birthday

Today, we celebrated Zoe's birthday at preschool. She got to wear a birthday crown & hand out a treat to all of her friends. She was most excited that I stayed at school with her.
