Music in the Park

This morning after ballet class, Zoe & I met Emma, Mary & Mrs. Saunders in Plymouth for Music in the Park. We had a picnic of Jimmy John's for lunch. Almost exactly when the music began, it started to storm & pour down rain. So, we missed the music, but Zoe had a nice time playing briefly with Emma & Mary. For a more detailed account of yesterday & today's fun check out Ann's blog!!

At the Spray Playground

This morning, we met Emma, Mary & Mrs. Saunders at the Canton Spray Playground. It was very hot & we thought the girls would enjoy the water. But alas, no, they enjoyed playing at the small playground nearby (especially the sand) & eating their snacks. Maybe they will actually play in the water next time...

Father's Day @ the Toledo Zoo

Zoe & I met Grandma & Poppa at the Toledo Zoo today to celebrate Father's Day (Tony unfortunately had to work today). Zoe had a great time seeing the animals, but really like the merry-go-round & train. She found the hippo's particulary funny & of course, enjoyed the butterfly exhibit (even though none landed on her).

The Liberty Fest Parade

This morning, we attended the Canton Liberty Fest parade. Once it was over, I asked Zoe what her favorite part of the parade was. Her answer...

1. "The twirllers"
2. "The throwing of the candy"
3. "The picking up the candy"

Needless to say, she had a great time.

Summer Fun

This afternoon, while I spent the afternoon watching over our garage sale, Zoe & Caitlyn (from next door) spent some time playing in the pool & sprinkler. They had a grand time chasing each other around.

It's officially, official again...

After some more research, I discovered that by moving our Disney trip up a week, we can get a free dining plan. Of course, this I discovered after I had purchased airline tickets, scheduled a lunch with Cinderella, purchased tickets to the Mickey's Halloween Party and so on. So, I spent this afternoon cancelling our previous trip and rebooking it for Sept. 21 - Sept 30. This required multiple calls & hours, but is well worth the $$ we will be saving... If you have any questions about WDW, let me know. I already feel like I know more about this place than I ever wanted to know & our trip is still 105 days away!!

Beautiful Ballerina

Tuesday, May 15, 2007

It's official...

...tonight, I booked a room & flights for Walt Disney World for Sept. 28 - Oct. 7. It is sure to be a crazy vacation, but we think that Zoe will love it!! Now, I have to figure out what/when restraurants we are going to eat in & how many character meals ... what parks/when ... parades/fireworks/cirque de soleil/waterparks/rent a car/don't rent a car ... whew ... I didn't realize how much planning is needed to visit "the happiest place on earth"!! Only 136 days away.

Happy Mother's Day to ME!!

For Mother's Day, Tony got up with Zoe & let me sleep in (something I always like). Then, we had a leisurely lunch & opened presents. Well, I didn't actually get to open any of them; Zoe did the honors - which I guess is appropriate because without her, I wouldn't get any gifts. I got a couple of books, a necklace, a shirt (picked out by Zoe), a few other things & my Coach wallet (which I love!!). We had hamburgers on the grill for supper, followed by watching the Survivor finale (see post). All in all, it was a nice relaxing day with minimal parenting by me.

Yeah, Earl!!

Tonight was the Survivor:Fiji finale, which Yau-Man deserved to win (bad, bad "Dreamz"), but the 2nd best man, Earl, won. A happy conclusion to what I think was the best survivor season yet!! I've watched all 14 seasons faithfully & really, really enjoyed this one. If you don't watch, I suggest checking it out.
